UONAA Host Luncheon for Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Scholarship Recipients

The University of Nairobi Alumni Association hosted a luncheon for 4 University of Nairobi Postgraduate Students and PhD candidates who have been awarded the prestigious Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Scholarship to University of Toronto Canada.  The four students are;

  1. Willis PhabianAkala Opondo – PhD Sociology
  2. Wamvua Andrew Mshambala – PhD Education
  3. Ivy WambuaMaina – MBA, Strategic Management
  4. Valentine Mukami Gatune – Masters in Project Management

The Vice-Chairperson of UONAA Dr. Anne Aseey was instrumental in securing the scholarships for the students who will be travelling to Canada in September 2019. The Alumni Association looks forward to create more opportunities and linkages for the University of Nairobi students. The beneficiaries were also encouraged to be good brand ambassadors of UoN and create networks to benefit more students.

Also present during the Luncheon were; Mrs. Mildred Owuor (Treasurer UONAA), Prof. Harriet Kidombo (Deputy Director ODeL), Mr. KenethSawe (ED, UONAA), Mr. Johnson Kinyua (Director OCS), Supervisors of the Students Prof. Charles  Nzioka (Dept. of Sociology), Prof. Dorothy Kyalo (ODel Campus) and Prof. Mwabora (Chiromo Campus ). UONAA Secretariat,  Jane Mogaka, Beatrice Ndaisi & Emmanuel Rotich.
