Mr. Isaac Awuondo
Chairman

Mr. Awuondo has over 32 years’ experience in the finance and banking sectors spanning Europe and Eastern Africa and has previously worked with BDO Binder Hamlyn, Nation Media Group and Standard Chartered Bank in various senior executive roles. He is the Chairman of Kenya Airports Authority (KAA), the Council of Riara University, a Member of the Advisory Board of the Kenya Private Sector Alliance (KEPSA) and a Director of Bata Shoes Company Kenya Ltd. He is also Chairman of the Kenya Conservatoire of Music, WWF Kenya, The Rhino Trust and a Trustee of Zawadi Africa Education Fund. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting and Finance) degree from the University of Nairobi. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ACA) and a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK).

Dr. Anne Aseey
Vice Chairperson

Anne Achieng Aseey is a senior lecturer and a departmental coordinator at the University of Nairobi. She holds a Post doctoral International Certificate in Leveraging Local Assets for Community Economic Development (Israel), PhD, M.ED and Bachelor of Education (Arts) all from University of Nairobi.

She is also the organizing secretary for Gender Network for Universities in Africa (GENUA), a member the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU) professional Network and the Association for Women’s Rights in Development (AWID). She teaches instructional Communication and technology and gender studies amongst other courses.She has presented papers at several conferences on ICT, Pedagogy and Andragogy, Gender issues, mobile learning, and social media among others.. Her current research is focused on technology and education, social media and mobile learning and Gender issues and development.

Prof. Patrick Loch Otieno Lumumba
Secretary

Prof. PLO Lumumba is the immediate former Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Kenya School of Law.  He is a Professor of Public Law and Founding Dean, Kabarak University School of Law.  He has lectured law at the University of Nairobi, the United States International University (Africa), Widener University USA (Nairobi Summer School).

He is an Advocate of the High Courts of Kenya and Tanzania.  He holds Bachelor of Laws and Master of Laws degrees from the University of Nairobi and a LL.D from the University of Ghent, Belgium.  He is a Certified Public Secretary CPS (K) and a Member of the Kenya Institute of Management (MKIM).

He has been trained on Humans Rights at the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies University of London in England, Humanitarian Law at the Raoul Wallenberg Institute of the University of Lund in Sweden and on International Humanitarian Law in Geneva, Switzerland.

Dr. Fronica Monari
Deputy Secretary

Dr. Monari received her education at the Kenyatta University and more recently graduated with a PhD in Business Administration from the School of Business at the University of Nairobi.

“UONAA must encourage the Alumni to have a duty and sense of responsibility in giving back to their Alma Mater, not just as individual mentors, but also in bringing in their organizations to take up key roles. This will constitute not only their presence at university open days, seminars and panel events, but also practical one-to-one or small group mentoring of students and staff.”

Mrs Mildred Owuor
Treasurer

Mrs Mildred Owuor is a board member of Sadiki Bank and former Electoral Commissioner, , Mrs Owuor believes that the Association must maintain a clean bill of health of the accounts with prompt preparation of payments and , approved audited Statements of Accounts.

Mr. Jonson Ireri Kinyua
Organising Secretary

Johnson Kinyua holds MBA (Strategic Management), 2009 and B.Com (Management), 1999 from the University of Nairobi and currently finalising a PhD in Human Resources Management (2015).

He is immediate former Executive Director of University of Nairobi Alumni Association (UONAA) in charge of Alumni Relations and Networking, Fundraising and Friend-raising, Marketing and communications and Partnerships and Collaborations with industry partners.
